City of Covington to Waive Temporary Banner Fees Through Sept. 30, 2010
REAL PERSON, REAL PROBLEM AFFECTS CITY DECISION
It's not often that the everyday citizen thinks she can effect change at City Hall. However, at a Covington city council meeting in May 2010 that is exactly what happened. Due to the voice of a small business owner seeking to break down the red tape around city sign codes, the City of Covington implemented its own economic stimulus to local businesses in the form of a temporary banner permit fee waiver through September 30, 2010.
