Schools

The nearly 8,000 school-aged children in Covington attend schools in the Kent School District, the fourth largest school district in Washington State. These exceptional schools have benefitted from the excellent support of involved parents and guardians, patrons and taxpayers. With a history of strong performance and continuing public support, the school district is meeting the challenges of higher academic standards and increased accountability.

Currently, students in grades six and higher demonstrate skills that are above the state average in math. College Board SAT scores within the Kent School District are above the national average in both reading and math.
