Career and Technical Education

Apart from core subjects offered through the public school system, students can gain valuable experience through Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes at local community colleges. The Kent School District's CTE program has agreements with Highline Community College, Green River Community College, and Renton Technical College. Eligible students access over 70 courses ranging from accounting and electronics to marketing and visual communication. In "Tech Prep," students can earn college credits while taking CTE courses in areas such as accounting, automotive, aviation, computer information systems, culinary arts and welding.
