How do I obtain a copy of a police report?
To obtain copies of police and collision reports, please call the King County Sheriff's Office Record Unit at 206-296-4190 and request a copy of the report. You should have your incident/case number available when making the request. Copies of the reports cannot be given by the Maple Valley Sheriff's King County Precinct or the City of Covington.
How do I request the Covington Police Department to perform a House Check on my residence while I am away?
As a service to the residents of the City of Covington, the Covington Police Department offers free house checks. Officers will periodically check the exterior of your home while you are away. This service helps to deter potential burglars and provides for additional security while your house is unoccupied. To request a house check, please complete a Covington Police Department House Check form and deliver it to the Covington Police Department.
How do I obtain a Concealed Weapons Permit?
The Maple Valley Sheriff's King County Precinct issues Concealed Weapons Permits by appointment only. You must call first to make the appointment at 206-296-3883.
