The City of Covington contracts with the Municipal Law Firm of Kenyon Disend, PLLC. Kenyon Disend was founded in 1993 solely to provide first class legal services to Washington cities. Kenyon Disend is the only firm in the state with a practice devoted to municipal law services, to the virtual exclusion of all other areas of law.
The City Attorney is strictly prohibited from providing legal advice and/or representation to citizens. Individuals must retain private counsel for legal assistance.
Sara Springer joined Kenyon Disend, PLLC in 2009. Prior to joining Kenyon Disend, Sara served as the Judicial Clerk and Bailiff to the Honorable Mary Yu at the King County Superior Court. Before embarking on a legal career, she earned a Masters in Public Administration, focusing on urban public policy. She also spent several years working in the Internet industry, including two years as an Account Executive for a Web services firm in London, England. Sara's practice focuses on all areas of municipal law, with particular emphasis on code enforcement.
